Knowing technology is transitioning away from being exclusively behind a screen, I specialize in designing mixed reality solutions by blending physical and virtual spaces. I greatly enjoy and value all aspects of user experience design which starts from forming the research strategy to prototyping the final design solution.
Coming from an 11-year career working with customers at Verizon Telecommunications, I truly came to respect user-centered design. It has been a core guiding principle for much of my work, even before I considered myself a designer. Taking that expertise with me, I can genuinely empathize with the user on the challenges they experience. I also have a desire to know who they are as people, so my solution is not only enjoyable but equitable for every background and ability.
Gaming is one of my hobbies, and I often try to weave that into my designs when ideating solutions for my users. I know using game mechanics will continue to bring the user joy and have them returning for more.
I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interaction Design through State University of New York at Farmingdale. I also participated in the first Amazon Design Challenge at FSC, an intense, densely packed, weekend design sprint for students.
On Sara-days, you can find me at the bird sanctuary, practicing inversion poses at the yoga studio, or playing The Sims.
